Job Description

  • International procurement market analyst required.
  • We are seeking a detail-oriented Market Research Analyst to conduct surveys and analyze customer preferences and statistical data.
  • Your role will involve providing valuable insights to support customers in their decision-making processes related to products, pricing, and promotions.
  • As a successful Market Research Analyst, you will have the ability to independently analyze qualitative data, identify trends, assess strategies, and evaluate competition, with the ultimate goal of enhancing competitiveness.
  • Your responsibilities will include gathering and interpreting market research data, generating reports, and presenting findings with solutions to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collect data on consumers, competitors and marketplace and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations
  • Understand business objectives and product surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences
  • Compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it
  • Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis
  • Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations
  • Use online market research and catalogue findings to databases
  • Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation
  • Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties research and implement best practice

 

Requirements and skills

  • Proven Market Research Analysis experience in Supply chain, Finance, Travel, HR & Marketing
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
  • Ability to communicate data to non-technical audiences through the use of reports and visualizations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced knowledge preferred), Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Visio is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science/ESG), SAS (Statistical Analysis System) or similar), databases and MS Office
  • Search engines, web analytics and business research tools acumen
  • Familiarity with CRM tools
  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc)
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing, modelling and mining
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking
  • Self-motivated and displays ability to work independently and in a team
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaboratively with teammates across multiple geographies and time zones

Qualifications

  • Graduate with Bachelor's or Master's Degree
  • Studies in the areas of: Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Business Administration, Market Research, Marketing would be an added advantage
  • Advance analytical skills i.e. business intelligence reporting
  • Conduct research on industry verticals to determine viability of new lead programs
  • Conduct competitive intelligence research on industry verticals
  • Prepare ratings summary reports i.e. daily, weekly, monthly, yearly summary reports
  • Prepare viewership demographic reports and analysis
  • Customer orientation with ability to consistently deliver high quality customer service in a professional and efficient manner
  • Ariba tool experience is an added advantage
  • Developed analytical thinking skills with an eye for detail
  • Pro in MS office applications (advance Excel is a must)
