In the same way as books are often judged by its cover, employers are judged by their onboarding. First impressions are everything. Can you still remember yours, when you joined your current employer?
As a new joiner at METRO, you will participate in a pre-boarding program before you officially start.
monthly campus welcome
This takes place every second working day of every month, offering all the non-executive new joiners of all campus companies an opportunity to network, as well as to get an overview about entities, strategy, purpose, customers, brands.
quarterly with board member
This eventtakes place 3 times per year. The purpose of this event is to show appreciation by involvement of CEO and the Board, who will share their view on METRO and answer the questions of new joiners.
Your Onboarding Experience With METRO
As a new joiner at METRO, you will participate in a pre-boarding program before you officially start off your new career at METRO AG. Once you join, your team will take care of a great first day and greater first weeks.
Corporate Welcome
You will join a corporate welcome session generally setting the picture of the METRO cosmos as well as a thorough HR Onboarding informative session.
Buddy Program
A peer colleague will help to shed a light on cultural norms and to answer further questions you may have concerning METRO, our way of working and what we aspire to be as a company.
Onboarding Plan
Your team and line manager will take care of a great first day and even greater first weeks in.
Onboarding Survey
Your opinion is asked and much appreciated on our hitherto existing onboarding process.
Store Practice
We aim to make the store practice an experience that is available for all new joiners of METRO AG. Because in order to understand who we are, a profound understanding of our business is key.
CEO Meet-Up
Once per quarter our CEO Steffen Greubel meets with all new joiners. You will be able to openly ask him questions and to network with other new colleagues from METRO AG.
