Job Description

What does this role entail ..

  • As Learning & Development person you will help the Company meet its objectives by developing & implementing high impact learning & development programs in line with business needs and priorities.
  • This role involves managing the following cycle :-
    • Training need identification.
    • Establishing strong partnerships with the business.
    • Preparing training calendar.
    • Designing & Developing trainings with various subject matter experts.
    • Ensuring smooth operational Execution of Trainings.
    • Analyzing all training related data. Managing Dashboards.
  • Acting as a POC for our Learning & Education assistance program ‘LEAP’
  • Acting as a POC for ‘New Employee Orientation’ of new hires
  • Designing and delivering trainings to employees on topics identified as part of the Training Need Identification
  • Implementing technology enabled innovations to support blended and digital learning.
  • Participating in and/or leading projects focused on continuous learning/upskilling.
  • Sourcing and recommending vendors and other external partners to design, develop, and / or deliver learning solutions where applicable.
  • Overseeing budgeting and forecasting of all L&D Expenses

STRATEGIC AREAS –

  • Collaborate with METRO GSC Leaders to proactively identify Learning goals, make recommendations and developing programs, linking back to the business strategy including Leadership Development.
  • Identification of Organizational Developmental Goals considering current and upcoming Business needs as well as skill gaps.
  • Partner with External vendors, evaluate multiple facilitators to select only the best and work with them in partnership to develop training programs
  • Partner with colleagues across the globe on common projects with a large impact
  • Oversee all internal and external trainer identification and their onboarding.

  • Planning & Organizing –Managing a packed Training Calendar along with the other elements of trainings as well as managing team members & training participants would require superior planning & organizing skills.
  • Decisiveness – Often times you will have to take independent decisions, be it finalizing a trainer after evaluating multiple prospects OR getting the Training Calendar in place by prioritizing trainings OR deciding the contents of the program; Decisiveness will help stay on course in terms of timelines and ensuring that maximum Training needs are met.
  • Growth Mindset – The ability to visualize larger than life, impactful training programs for the various audiences in METRO GSC and to groom the training participants to reach great heights by attending these programs.
  • Adaptability – Training needs can often come in Adhoc basis fluctuating business needs; an adapting nature will help you cater to various needs and meet the organizational goals.

 


Qualifications

  • You have a post-graduation in HR
  • Around 8-12 years of experience in Human Resources majorly having worked in Learning and Development
  • You have some experience in delivering trainings process related or behavioral.
  • You have strategic mindset and ability to navigate a large matrix and complex organization.
  • You have Presentation & Stakeholder Management Skills who can sound off ideas in the most effective way to the Leadership team and other stakeholders.
  • You have Project Management skills – Proactivity, self-motivation and the thirst for continuous improvement of processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to make training programs effective.
  • Have the gift of the gab and the ability to address and engage large audiences – both virtually and in person.
  • Have hands-on experience of working with MS Office suite. Ex – Teams, SharePoint etc and rapid conceptualisation tools like Canva etc.
