HoReCa and Traders are core customer groups of METRO. The HoReCa section includes hotels, restaurants, catering companies as well as bars, cafés and canteen operators. Job Profile: SAP IS-Retail Solution Expert- Focus Pricing (MDLS) 

Overview:

Senior SAP Consultant role with core SAP IS-Retail expertise and focus area Pricing. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the inhouse MDLS technical expert, ensuring stability and performance of MDLS solutions, including interfaces. 

• Review initial requirements against current business processes to identify gaps or opportunities for improvement 

• Stakeholder Management: Should be able to work in collaboration with third party service provider and steer the provider teams as well as ensure proper communication towards end users, keyusers and country management teams. 

• Provide advice on technical implementation approaches and their implications and act as third level support to advice SLS. Troubleshoot system issues and lead root cause analysis with the service provider 

• Review design of end-to-end process solutions that meet Metro standards and collaborate with the Process leads and owners to evaluate solution design changes, 

• Ensure architectural governance by enforcing adherence to established SAP standards design principles and standards as well as IT security standards. 

• Oversee the development of custom extensions or interfaces, minimizing deviations from standard SAP functionalities, 

• Support test preparation for future test execution, 

• Support release activities, including cutover planning, system readiness validation 

• Identify opportunities for process or system optimization based on business feedback.

Qualification and Experience  

• Professional SAP Expertise: Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in SAP IS-Retail process stream and related SAP finance modules, particularly SAP MM, SD including strong knowledge in customizing 

• Retail business process knowledge: A strong understanding of retail processes like procurement, inventory, pricing is essential.

  Price Simulation techniques  
  Foreign Currency configurations

• Interfaces and job scheduling : Should have experience of working on different types of interface and job scheduling technologies in SAP for master data, Order creation , Invoice and others. 

• Delivery Process : Working knowledge of DC determination, availability check, order date determination. 

• Master Data : Should have working knowledge of Data interfaces with master data configuration settings for - customer, supplier, article, conditions, supplier info record etc. 

• Exposure to system enhancements, user exits and routines Mandatory SD Skills Quotation, Contracts, Sales Orders, Scheduling Agreements, Third Party Sales, Stock Transport Order, Pricing Taxes, Credit Management, Free Goods Processing, Material Determination, Invoicing 

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of the organization and external partners  

• Certifications: IS-Retail-related SAP Certifications are advantageous  

• Industry Knowledge: Experience in retail industry is preferred to tailor SAP solutions effectively  

• Languages: excellent command of English (written and spoken)  

• Travel: ability to travel is required. 

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
