Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) is internal solution partner for METRO, a €29.8 Billion international wholesaler with operations in 31 countries through 661 stores & a team of 93,000 people globally. Metro operates in a further 10 countries with its Food Service Distribution (FSD) business and it is thus active in a total of 34 countries.

MGSC, location wise is present in Pune (India), Düsseldorf (Germany) and Szczecin (Poland). We provide IT & Business operations support to 31 countries, speak 24+ languages and process over 18,000 transactions a day. • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data pipelines that efficiently handle large volumes of data. 

• Database Design: Design and implement database structures, schemas, and models that support business requirements and data integrity. 

• Performance Tuning: Monitor and enhance the performance of data processing systems, including optimizing queries, and tuning data pipelines. 

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database issues, including performance problems and other data issues. 

• Collaboration: Work closely with application developers, business analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions that meet their needs. 

• Data Quality Assurance: Implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity. 

• Documentation: Document data workflows, pipelines, and system configurations to ensure transparency and maintainability. 

• Technology Evaluation: Stay current with emerging data technologies and best practices and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes. 

• Bachelor's/master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering (or equivalent experience). 

• At least 4+ years of experience data analysis 

• MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Python and MS Excel.
