Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) is internal solution partner for METRO, a €29.8 Billion international wholesaler with operations in 31 countries through 661 stores & a team of 93,000 people globally. Metro operates in a further 10 countries with its Food Service Distribution (FSD) business and it is thus active in a total of 34 countries.

MGSC, location wise is present in Pune (India), Düsseldorf (Germany) and Szczecin (Poland). We provide IT & Business operations support to 31 countries, speak 24+ languages and process over 18,000 transactions a day. • To design multipage promotion product catalogues (for print media) based on product information content and images provided by the customer.
• Timeliness and high quality of the output is required for the success of Metro Cash and Carry stores’ (in different countries) time bound promotional activities.
• Visual appeal of the output is important to attract customers to the Metro brand.
• Understanding the customer’s requirements and developing the output based on set templates and customer’s needs.
• Developing a high quality output keeping time and production constraints in mind.
• Should be comfortable in working with foreign languages and foreign customers.
• Preparing mockups and presenting to customers before deciding on a final design/concept, when a new layout is requested.
• Collaborating with team members to develop the different output types.
• Adhering to the customer’s brand identity and guidelines.
• Being a keen learner to try new tools/ideas to help increase efficiency of the design process.
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders about ideas, progress of projects and any issues that may arise.
• Doing a self-review of all output to ensure that it meets highest quality standards and follows all graphics standards before being sent for internal quality checks.
• Should have experience in creating designs for print and digital media.
• Ability to multi-task i.e. work on multiple outputs at the same time and should have the ability to work under time constraints.
• Taking complete ownership of the deliverable from inception to completion.
• Flexibility to working in shifts for 1-2 weeks in a month for critical deliverables.

1. Must have at least 1-year hands-on experience in creating product catalogues using Adobe InDesign.
2. Must have knowledge is creating high-quality printing data of the deliverables
3. Must be a skilled user of design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
4. A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
5. Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
6. Good communication skills to accurately communicate with the team and the customer.
7. Mindful of customer’s needs and the time associated with what is being delivered.

We believe in an open culture. Our team members are encouraged to share and implement innovative ideas. However, 65% of the work involved will be related to working within a set framework (templates + process), but 35% of the work will involve creativity in terms of new designs/concepts/layout creation.
We will provide complete freedom to the candidate to design the output, but the concept should be in-sync with customer requirements and with appropriate line managers’ consent.
