Job Description
• Develop test plans and strategies based on project requirements.
• Identify test scenarios, test cases, and test data for different functionalities.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand system requirements and specifications.
• Execute test cases and document test results.
• Identify and report defects or issues in a clear and detailed manner.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot issues.
• Identify opportunities for test automation and develop automated test scripts.
• Execute automated test scripts and analyze results.
• Maintain and update automated test suites as needed.
• Perform regression testing to ensure that existing functionality is not affected by new changes.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Ensure that test documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
• Provide clear and concise reports on testing progress and results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts.
• Communicate effectively with team members to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Participate in meetings and discussions to provide input on quality-related matters.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience as QA tester.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in manual testing and automation, including test case creation and execution.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium or Appium.
• Ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts.
• Understanding of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) to write test scripts.
• Knowledge of different types of testing, such as functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Strong attention to detail to identify and report defects accurately.
• Understanding of the importance of precision and accuracy in the QA process.
• Analytical mindset to analyze complex software systems and identify potential issues.
• Ability to troubleshoot and isolate issues to provide accurate information to developers.
• Proactive problem-solving skills to anticipate potential problems and suggest improvements.
• Understanding of different phases of the SDLC and the role of QA testing.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and experience working in Agile teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with team members.
